Happy International Women’s Day!

Today, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of women worldwide and recognize the ongoing efforts to promote gender equality.

This year, the theme of International Women’s Day is centered around inspiring inclusion, emphasizing the importance of creating environments where all individuals, regardless of gender, feel valued and empowered.

In light of this theme, we have connected with our exceptional female founders to talk about the importance of supporting women-owned businesses. These visionary founders shared their insights on why championing women entrepreneurs is essential for fostering diversity, innovation, and social progress.

“We’re proud not only to be a women-owned, women-run business, but also to be able to help women everywhere with something in their lives that is really crucial –ensuring we all get a good night’s sleep.

When you think of all the roles women play each and every day, (head chef, driver nurse, CEO, banker, sister, daughter, peacemaker, breadwinner, chief washer upper to name but a few) it makes you realise how non-stop life can be. No wonder so many of us are tired.

We celebrate women not just today, but every day, and offer a gentle reminder to take the time to invest in our rest.”

“Of course we should support female ran and owned businesses absolutely any chance you can.

Women are paid less and we are often disadvantaged if we leave the workplace to start a family. I know I have been there. I support women, I employ women, I’m flexible. Women are a powerful force in the economy and purchasing from women owned businesses inevitably supports women.”

“I’ve been thinking about this special day for us – especially now, after a pandemic, that many negative feelings have surfaced.

We are gradually restoring our power; “calibrating” our feminine properties to finally balance our roles within ourselves.

Thanks to amazing women throughout history, women “ahead of their time”, we are able to “access” areas from where we were once excluded. One of these women, from whom I get my name, was Hypatia, the only female philosopher in ancient Greek history.

Smart, intuitive, balanced, feminine, compassionate.

Hypatia was renowned in her own lifetime as a great teacher and a wise counsellor in Alexandria, Egypt. An astronomer and mathematician, she was widely beloved by pagans and Christians alike in a time of political imbalance (around 400 AD). She

experienced a horrid death, from a mob who cut her body into pieces using shards and then set them on fire as if she was one of the vilest criminals”. It’s an interesting story to read, as she was the victim to a feud as often happens. Still, she was enlightened

and compassionate, and offered lectures and counselling with the aim to help.

We are often misunderstood, left out, alienated as we stumble upon the beliefs of the collective consciousness, which are difficult to shift. Still, if we believe in our power, we can make a change…

together!”

“I think women-owned businesses serve as role models and inspiration for future generations of women entrepreneurs. When women see other women succeeding in business, it encourages them to pursue their own entrepreneurial aspirations.

Also, I want to inspire my daughter to keep going following her dream, never settle. By the way – the best inspiration for all women business is the brand LONI BAUR – I guess you would love it too and worldwide so famous and you unique in their concept!”

As we commemorate International Women’s Day, let’s reaffirm our commitment to advancing gender equality and supporting women-owned businesses, amplifying their voices, and empowering each together. Together, let’s build a more inclusive and equitable world where all women have the opportunity to realize their full potential.

Happy International Women’s Day!
